Cleaning of the Building

Weekly Building Cleaning Assignment

Katy 3rd ward families have the opportunity to clean the building during the upcoming quarter (July 1st through September 31st).  There are six assignments to be completed each week in preparation for the Sabbath.  The Elder's quorum presidency has scheduled at least six different families to participate on Saturday morning.  Please arrive at the church by 8:00 am to start work.

The Sunday prior to your assignment you will be given a laminated 8x11 card.  It will detail the specific tasks particular to each area of the building.  Please also refer to the card for hints about utilizing the correct cleaning supply for the job.  If you don't receive a laminated instruction card before your assigned day, please pick any left over area to clean on the morning of your arrival to church.  Remaining assignment cards will be placed in a folder  marked 'Cleaning Assignments' and kept in the cleaning supply closet.  In the event more than 6 individual families are present on a Saturday, divide the cleaning as needed.  Total time commitment shouldn't be longer than 90 minutes if all families participate as planned.

The weekly schedule, as found at the bottom of this page, will also be available in the 'Cleaning Assignments' folder.  If you can't complete your assignment as scheduled, please find a family of comparable size and arrange for an exchange.   Call, text or email President Johnson for any questions, difficulties or concerns.

Remember that we all use the chapel and benefit from a clan and reverent building prepared for worship.  Lastly, after you finish your weekly task, please try to stay around and help others in your group who may not be quite done.  Thank you for your diligence and service.
